Darren and I did a somewhat easy ride at the Batu Ferringhi coastal this evening.
I was expecting to see other than Darren but only he showed up. Later we met
Lincoln on our way back. Edwin was at work (kwailo exploitation! Where got work
on Sunday one???). Rin was in KL doing pre-CNY bird watching.
Azmi decided to have
a family feast at somewhere in Sri York.
The ride was somewhat at easy pace. Darren really gave me a bang for
the bucks I paid for my yellow taxi. He pulled me all the way from Ratu
Mutiara until the bottom of Teluk Bahang dam. Since I was very bad in
climbing, and Darren sensed I wouldn't be able to follow him. He sped ahead
and told me to meet him at the end of Fruit Farm climb. Man, I was thinking
of chickening out from that god forsaken climb. Apparently, Darren was
already expecting that. So he made sure I would meet him there!
We rested at the end of the Fruit Farm climb and sharing his story about
the Saturday ride a day before. A usual lah, talk cock sing song, like who
was gonna get a new bike and stuffs like that. Someone is gonna get
another Santa Cruz Roadster. I wonder why Santa Cruz? Why not Specialized
E6(if it really exists) or KHS Flite 800? Beauty is in the eye of the
beholder, I guess...:)
Darren suggested to stop by the coffee shop at Teluk Bahang to enjoy his
favorite "Ong Lai". Too bad lah, "Ong" didn't "Lai". The auntie that sells
his favorite "Ong Lai" decided to call it day earlier than usual. CNY coming
soon mah. So must do CNY shopping liao lah. Since no "Ong Lai", we stopped
at the coffee shop, Darren ordered his Mee Goreng, and I decided just to have
a can of 100 Plus. Breakfast hadn't digested yet lah. So cannot makan.
During the makan thing going on at that coffee shop, we talked about
the Jelajah Perlis. Speaking of which, I might not be able to make it since
the doctor who treated my long hair told us that the little rascal is going
to come out between the end of Feb and Mid March. Darren is also going to
have a tough time since he is probably on business trip to the Big Bird
land. I think we should re-schedule the ride plan. But anyhow, small
issue. It shouldn't be a problem to sort it out.
As we were having a good time checking out chics passing by, we saw
Lincoln passing by. He was looking for a place to stop. We called him, and
he was on his way to grab a can of 100Plus. What happen to chics passing
by? Chics? What chics? What we saw was couple of imitation ones. One of
them was so daring that he/she wore a supermini skirt. Man, I really hope
he/she was a real one!
We continued our way home once I finished my drink and Darren his
mee goreng. Btw Darren, how was the mee goreng? I couldn't believe that
you wanted it cabai banyak-banyak and kicap banyak-banyak! Darren must be
a mutant! At first, we talked about the IS2003
(ok I am not implying I
would go ok? But I would help to register those who would like to go). Then
all the sudden, everybody was quiet and started concentrated on paddling. I
had a feeling that someone was going to make a first move. Immediately,
Lincoln was nowhere to be seen. Then Darren began his attack. I was always
the slowest one since I had the heaviest weight to power ratio. Turbo
Snail mah, so must start slow one lah!
The chase did not last for long as we approached Rasa
Sayang. We slowed down
due to the road work, which was in front of Casuarina. And then, everybody
was looking at each other to see if anyone wanted to make the first move
again. Being the recreational rider among the pros, I decided to take my own
sweet time to enjoy the view. Yeah, I spotted few blonde chics along the
way. One of them had long blonde hair and knock out figure. Man, her
boyfriend must be the luckiest guy in the world!
Again, Lincoln just dissappeared like that. Then Darren followed suit.
I decided to go slow but when a car, loaded with SYT passed by and looked
at me. Decision, decision! I must show what Ah Pek can do man. So I used
my famous tactic: Stood up and hammered the pedals. My ONCE started to
sway from side to side due to the excessive power I applied. Darren was at
the top of the climb while I was not far behind. Feeling encouraged
and convinced those riders were already exhausted, I kept hammering the
bike. On the second climb, I overtook Darren. Since then the rest was
history! But too bad lah, by the time I caught up with Lincoln, we were
reaching the junction to Ratu Mutiara.
The fun of road riding is the sensation of speed and the
ultimate satisfaction that when you overtake the motorized vehicle. I did
not know how many had I overtaken but one thing for sure, I could feel the
orgasmic sensation building up in my body for each vehicle I overtook!
Darren was mumbling from behind something like, "Turbo Snail in action man".
Hehe...
Man, it was fun. Due to the ride distance was longer than my usual SSS ride,
I under estimated my time to return to Ratu Mutiara. It was already 6.30pm
when I reached my apartment. So Azmi, sorry for not turning up your family
thinggy. There's always next time, right?
